We typically have over 200 auction items varying from household items to tools and automotive supplies. We are always looking for donations from local artists and already have some great prints and crafts from artisans’ in Bar Harbor. Gift certificates are always popular but I have to say my favorites are the amazingly, tasty chocolate deserts.

This is a fun and well-liked event by so many but truly can not happen without our volunteers. We need help the day of the event with selling raffle tickets, set up, clean up, and checking people in. We need people who are willing to go out in January and ask businesses for donations of auction items. We need people to talk about this special fundraiser and sell tickets in advance. We need to get flyers and posters onto bulletin boards and of course we need people to share their own personal chocolate creations. If you would like to donate an auction item or desert or if you are available the day of our chocolate fest/ auction, please call us at 667-0176. We would love to hear from you. Registration is at the Hemingway Annex (The Living Room) on Court Street beginning at 6:00 A.M. Both races start at 8:00 A.M. Registration fee is $5.00 for the 1 mile race and $10.00 for the 5 mile race. This race is a 5 Mile TAC Certified (#ME8801GN) scenic, hilly loop course. We encourage people of all ages to join this fun run.

Awards for the Five mile race:
Top 3 male and female overall. Top male and female ages 14 and under, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and older. 1st walker and 1st wheelchair.

Team awards:
1st and 2nd male and female teams.
All teams MUST pre-register. Unlimited may register. Top 3 score by place of finish. Ties to be determined by fastest cumulative times.

$100.00 cash award for new course record.
