With current world challenges that make everyday tasks more complicated, our team depends on the generosity of donors, volunteers, and community partners to carry out our urgent work uninterrupted.

In carrying out our mission, we are amazed by the ways our communities extend gestures of support, oftentimes unsolicited. Everything from sewing stockings for children living in shelter, providing meals and gas cards, to holding events where revenue is directed to NextStep — along with the many donations to our annual fund that arrive at this time of year — means that our emergency shelter stays open with all the necessities to give survivors, including their children and pets, a safe and supportive environment.

You allow us to respond to our neighbors in crisis every day, all year – in the ways that serve them best.
