Every October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and we promote our annual Shine A Light campaign. Please get in touch with us if you’d like to be involved this year.
What can you do?
Share our graphics on social media and in electronic messaging to let people know you participate in raising awareness about domestic violence, that you are shining a light in support of survivors.
Hang purple lights in a visible window and let them shine each night during October.
Contact NextStep to request posters and brochures to display in visible locations within your business or organization.
If you are an employer, ask yourself, “what would I do if one of my employees was a victim of domestic violence? How could I help her/him be safer?” NextStep can help you develop and implement a policy!
